We live in a world where everyone seems to have an opinion about who we are, what we do, and how we live. But the truth is that the only opinion that truly matters is your own. In this post, I explore the idea of embracing your power and letting go of judgments and unrealistic expectations. These three quotes have inspired me in many ways, which is why I’ve created illustrations based on them, turning them into wall art, stickers, and more to serve as a daily reminder of strength and self-empowerment.
We are all being judged by someone ho isn't even close to having their shit together
How often have you felt criticized or judged, only to realize the person giving you ‘constructive criticism’ isn’t someone you admire? People will tell you what to do, even when their lives are far from perfect or they don’t fully understand what you’re trying to achieve. You don’t need to take those judgments to heart. Take advice only from those who genuinely have your best interests at heart and whose insights you believe can benefit your future. We’re all on our own journey, and often, the loudest critics are dealing with their own struggles.
I’ve learned that judgmental people are usually the hardest to please, so I don't even try to make them understand my journey.
Lose them, come back to yourself
There are times when we lose ourselves in the opinions of others, forgetting our own self-worth and value. Not everyone around us has good intentions, and people often judge from their own perspectives, which can be clouded by their values not aligning with yours. I believe that sometimes, losing people is the best way to find yourself again.
This quote is a reminder in my own life that it’s okay to let go of what no longer serves you and rediscover who you truly are.
If you’re feeling lost, this is your cue to come back to yourself. It’s never too late to surround yourself with things and people that bring you back to your true self.
Your opinion, not my reality
This is one of my favorite quotes to live by. People will always have opinions about your life, your choices, and your dreams, but their opinions don’t define your reality. You could be living your dream life, and no one else would understand why it brings you joy. The truth is, if they were in your shoes, they might not be as happy, or maybe they’re just scared to admit it feels good for you, and that’s okay. I’ve learned to build my own world based on what I believe in, not what others think I should be. This quote reminds me to stay grounded in my own truth.
I don’t let anyone interfere with the life I feel is best for me. The reality I’m building is creating my best version, and I won’t take others’ opinions as absolute truth, because everyone experiences life differently.
It’s easy to let the world’s noise get to us, but at the end of the day, we are the creators of our own stories. These quotes are small reminders of your power and inner strength. Surround yourself with what reflects that strength and let it inspire you daily.
