WHAT TO DO WHEN IT FEELS LIKE NOTHING IS WORKING

When something feels like it’s not working for me is a sign to step out of the situation.

Sometimes the best you can do is to go for a walk. I find so much relief on stop looking at the screen of my computer and getting out of the house. Taking out the focus from that we perceive as a problem will give us a new perspective of the situation and we can face it later with a fresh point of view.

EVERYTHING IS TEMPORARY

Knowing that nothing lasts for ever, it's also a big relief. Taking time to breathe deep and move the body helps a lot to reduce stress.

One of my favourite activities is to go for a very long walk or run while listening to some interesting podcasts or audiobooks for self development, it brings me so much peace and feels like it resets my mind.

After a long walk its really nice to shower and take some time for self care, light up a candle, do some beauty treatment at home, like a face massage, use some lavender oil works really good to bring yourself in to a calming state. Meditation is another practice I enjoy a lot.

I try to make time every day to do at least one activity that will bring me back to centre.



YOU ALWAYS HAVE TIME WHEN YOU TRY TO MAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF

It's wrong to believe that you can't take time for yourself for random reasons. This are excuses that we make in order to feel like we are worthy, because of the way we have been educated. We live in a society that is more focused on productivity and performance, the best results are based on competition and doing more.

Some people might even laugh about the simple idea of taking a nap and say they don't have time for something so insignificant. But it is not meaningless to take time to change the energy, because it is unlimited and it doesn't run out, there is not such a thing as 'no energy', but using your energy on activities that are focused only on the mind only, will make you feel stressed and anxious.

It's very important to remember the body and the spiritual part of yourself.

WHAT ARE THE ACTIVITIES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL YOUR BEST?


Did you ever thought about the idea of make yourself feel good? I think if you never thought about it you should sit now and make a list. What are the things that will put you on your best mood, no excuses, no thinking about anybody else but you. Try to take time to give yourself this 'treats' on a daily basis.


IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU CAN'T TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF


You will see results when you start practicing this 'feel good activities' on a long term. It's not about doing it all now and all today, even if you don't meditate for a week or you work out only for 10 minutes, it's never too late and whatever you can give to yourself is enough.

DON'T DO IT TO SHOW IT TO OTHERS, DO IT FOR YOU


If you start working out or eating healthier, you don't need to share it with everybody, because when you don't do it you might feel like you are failing. This might sound silly but it happens to everyone and when you feel that, then you just stop and when you want to start over it feels like it's too late and like it's not enough, so what would be the point?

Do as much or as little as you can to feel good. Because you deserve it and the people around you deserve your best version as well, and you can't pour from an empty glass.
